About This Course

This five-day course will provide you with the knowledge and skills to plan and administer a Microsoft SharePoint 2016 environment. The course teaches you how to deploy, administer, and troubleshoot your SharePoint environment. This course also provides guidelines, best practices, and considerations that help you optimize your SharePoint deployment.

This is the first in a sequence of two courses for IT professionals and is aligned with the SharePoint 2016 IT Pro certification.

Audience Profile

The course is targeted at experienced IT professionals who are interested in learning how to install, configure, deploy, and manage SharePoint 2016 installations either in a data center or in the cloud.

Students typically have more than one year of hands-on experience* with planning and maintaining SharePoint and two years’ experience with other core technologies on which SharePoint depends, including Windows Server 2012 R2 or later, Internet Information Services (IIS), Microsoft SQL Server 2014 or later, Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), and networking infrastructure services.

The minimally qualified candidate typically:

• Is an IT professional who plans, implements, and maintains a multi-server deployment of SharePoint 2016.
• Has a working knowledge of, and preferably hands-on experience, with SharePoint Online.
• Has broad familiarity with SharePoint workloads.
• Has experience with business continuity management, including data backup, restoration, and high availability.
• Has experience with authentication and security technologies.
• Has experience with Windows PowerShell.

* The hands-on experience or job experience should be from a solutions-based role where the candidate has worked on multiple solutions in the SharePoint space that includes document management, content management, and search.

AI Builder is Microsoft Power Platform’s low-code AI capability that enables organizations to build, train, and deploy AI models for common business scenarios such as form processing, object detection, and prediction without deep data science expertise.

This instructor-led, live training (online or onsite) is aimed at advanced-level Power Platform professionals and automation leaders who wish to apply AI Builder to OCR extraction from structured and unstructured forms, build custom predictive models for qualitative and quantitative outcomes, and optionally incorporate Process Mining concepts to complement process analysis and optimization.

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

• Design and build AI Builder form processing models for structured and unstructured documents.
• Train, evaluate, and deploy custom prediction models for classification and regression tasks.
• Integrate AI Builder models into Power Apps and Power Automate flows for end-to-end automation.
• Understand how Process Mining can complement AI Builder by revealing process bottlenecks and data-driven optimization opportunities.

This instructor-led, live training in Egypt (online or onsite) is aimed at business staff, managers, developers, and data analysts who wish to adapt, implement, integrate, and manage Microsoft Power Platform components and features in their organization.

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

• Build simple applications with Power Apps to create custom solutions for everyday business needs.
• Automate workflow processes using Power Automate (formerly known as Microsoft Flow) to minimize manual and repetitive tasks.
• Create data reports and dashboards with Power BI to generate insightful analytics for the business.
• Build chatbots using Power Virtual Agents to automate and resolve common customer inquiries and issues.

This course gives a basic understanding of the fundamentals of Power Virtual Agents, Power Automate & Power Apps as well as touching on Power BI at a very high level. The course is built around a process that I used to manually complete for a previous employer where we will build a Power App using Microsoft Power Apps to track tasks on houses that are being built (store the data on SharePoint for simplicity) and then utilize Power Virtual Agents to show users how to enable the bots (within Microsoft Teams) to point users to the location of documents that may be scattered across different SharePoint sites such as loan documents, budgets and sales contracts (in the course of example). I see a huge use for these bots within HR & IT teams specifically to handle repetitive questions. I then show you can set up simple flows in Power Automate to save down attachments from specific senders (in the course example - saving down the attachments of the inspections the bank has organized of the units) as well as some other simple flows saving data from Microsoft Forms again on SharePoint & building out fully automated processes using the approvals app within Microsoft Teams. Once the app, bot & flow are complete, the final step is then creating a simple Power BI report and utilizing Power Automate to send a snapshot of the table with the latest tasks completed every 2 weeks to a specific sender (the bank in this example) requesting a draw with the date the tasks were completed and the budget amounts of those tasks (all collected in the app). Finally, this course is very high level, and I suggest to all learners to utilize ChatGPT for the more technical stuff such as the coding element/formula in a Power Apps, but this is covered on the course where I demonstrate how to utilize ChatGPT to the best of it's ability to help with the formula in Power Apps.

This course is designed for persons aspiring to the Microsoft 365 Administrator role and have completed at least one of the Microsoft 365 role-based administrator certification paths.
